* Closes #262 Key Changes:** * **Heartbeat Implementation:** * A ping/pong mechanism has been added to detect silent disconnections. * The server now sends pings to the client at regular intervals (`PING_INTERVAL`). * If a pong is not received within a specified timeout (`PING_INTERVAL_TIMEOUT`), the connection is considered lost, and the session is cleaned up. * The client-side `reconnect.js` has been updated to respond to server pings with pongs, ensuring the connection remains active. * **Graceful Shutdown:** * The `server_upgraded_io` function in `websockets.rs` now distinguishes between expected and unexpected client disconnections. * When a client disconnects gracefully (e.g., by closing the browser tab), the server now immediately removes the session from the cache, preventing unnecessary reconnection attempts. * A `DisconnectionSource` enum has been introduced to better manage the state of the WebSocket connection and determine the cause of a disconnection. * **Client-Side Enhancements:** * The `ReconnectingWebSocket` class in `reconnect.js` now includes logic to send pings to the server and handle pong responses, ensuring that the client can also detect and respond to connection issues. * The client now initiates a graceful shutdown by sending a `close` frame with a `Normal` or `Away` code, allowing the server to handle the disconnection appropriately.
