This is a proposal for the structure of record reading (current setup is mostly exposing the internals & excludes schema validation tools). The goal of the proposal is to get to a functional record API without requiring the (more difficult) schema parsing/validation initially.
On the current structure derive-macros can be made which would generate the parsing for a struct automatically (for supported field-types).
