Hi there, great work on this.

Quick question about Android save data support... can this be done somehow? I've managed to pull my android save file, but it doesn't seem to work with your tool (which makes sense, it says for Switch only) - I only ask as I believe the Android save data is stored the same as the Switch save - just encrypted.

Thats what I believe - I'm just unsure how to decrypt it myself. I've been looking around and couldn't really figure out how to do that part. I can attach my user file to this if your interested in looking at it yourself to see if it works.

Sorry I've just seen your request to attach a save. The only one I have is my main save, will that work? I don't want to get locked out due to purchases on there haha

yes, main or new game, just a save from mobile game
i don't know what you mean with the second part, ban?

so you may need root and game guardian to grab the key from your phone to decrypt it (https://gbatemp.net/threads/qedit-a-pokemon-quest-web-based-save-editor.509951/post-8150042)

The second part is just about losing my save file if someone else used it on their phone, I wouldn't be able to get back in.

Ah ok. I will try this. If you have discord or another method I'll send you my save so it's not on here

Nevermind, GameGuardian seems to have updated since they posted this, and the instructions don't work now. Thats a shame :(

i see, i don't have a way to run game guardian and the mobile game, if you get your key with the latest version, you can open the decrypted save and save as decrypted, you should be able to encrypt and decrypt with https://gbatemp.net/threads/qedit-a-pokemon-quest-web-based-save-editor.509951/post-8155695

if edited save is working, then i will just add a dialog to input your key to decrypt/encrypt

I will have a further toy around to see if I can find anything, but I'm not too sure what I'm looking for at this point using GG. I'll have a play around.

I managed to find the string they discussed in the post, but not sure as to where the key is to decrypt in this list.

he says to scroll down from there, and skip the searched string if you find again, the key is another string

I have been trying to locate the key strings as well in Game Guardian to no success :( maybe a later update in the game changed stuff and it's no longer possible - the guides were written in 2018

It doesn’t work if you’re using an emulator. I found this out recently after speaking to the original person who posted in the thread we discussed above

Oh that's interesting. I'm using an Android emulator for Android itself called VPhoneGaGa so I can access the root folders easily. I guess I'm out of luck as well ☹️
