mypy is failing again. The implementation of the stubs and extensions
are full or hacks and break too often.
Attempting to use older versions of dependencies fails too. For a
previous set of dependencies which are known to be working, see:

Emit a warning if mypy fails. To be reviewed when upstream stabilises
further.
