Repro Steps

  1. Launch VS Code
  2. Open a Python file
  3. Observe that two environment pickers are present in the status bar

Additional context

The extension also fails to detect all of the many Python environments on my computer. When I enter the path to an interpreter, eg in a virtual environment, the extension claims it is invalid, despite it working perfectly in the command-line.

    Hi! Sorry but we only support official VS Code builds for support here so I'm going to close this as out of scope. If you switch to an official VS Code build and still see two pickers, please reopen and I'll dig in.
