  • Runs the publish job in the release environment, which only allows v* tags.
  • Removes NODE_AUTH_TOKEN: ${{ secrets.NPM_TOKEN }}. Since ci: publish to npm via trusted publishing (OIDC) #169, publishing authenticates via OIDC trusted publishing, and no .npmrc references the token, so it was unused.

After merging, set Environment = release in the trusted publisher settings of @qdrant/js-client-rest, @qdrant/js-client-grpc and @qdrant/qdrant-js on npmjs.com. Until then, any branch running release.yaml can still publish.

Publishing already authenticates via OIDC (#169); NODE_AUTH_TOKEN is
not referenced by any .npmrc. The release environment only allows v*
tags, so the npm trusted publisher can be pinned to it.
