Why

The "Message Broker Configuration" table lists SPRING_REDIS_HOST and friends. Since Spring Boot 3 these properties are spring.data.redis.*, and the platform does not include the properties migrator or any mapping of its own. Every Redis bean is conditional on spring.data.redis.host (PubSubConfiguration, RateLimitConfiguration), and our own SaaS deployments set spring.data.redis.host / spring.data.redis.password.

An on-prem installation configured as documented therefore runs every instance on the in-memory pub/sub without any error: experiments fail whenever an agent is connected to another instance, and UI updates are lost.

Change

  • Renames the variables to SPRING_DATA_REDIS_HOST, _PORT, _USERNAME, _PASSWORD, _SSL_ENABLED and _CLIENT_NAME.
  • Drops the SPRING_REDIS_SSL variant for platform <= 1.0.96.
  • Adds a note that the old SPRING_REDIS_* names are ignored, for installations that followed the previous table.

The platform enables Redis only when spring.data.redis.host is set. The
documented SPRING_REDIS_* variables bind to the pre-Spring-Boot-3 keys and are
ignored, so instances configured that way silently run without Redis.
