Historical stack link. Replaced by #195 after reordering the stack so the MCP compatibility pin is the first prerequisite.

GitHub marked this PR merged when its commit became an ancestor of #188 during the reorder. The change has not landed on main; review and merge #195 instead.

Summary

  • constrain the optional MCP SDK dependency to >=1.1,<2
  • prevent clean installs from selecting MCP 2.x, whose renamed exception API is not yet supported

Validation

  • 778 passed, 41 skipped
  • Ruff, formatting, and Pyright pass
  • fresh built-wheel pympp[mcp] install resolves MCP 1.x and passes the import smoke
