I logged on to the internet somewhere around 1994 and never really logged off. My first HTML page was for DRUM II, an alternative music festival in Hietasaari, Vaasa on 8 July 1995, hosted by Latvis Rockdata. I was still testing in Mosaic when Netscape 1.1 showed up with background images.
I've been building websites for more than 30 years, and doing it for a living for almost 30: PHP, WordPress and the servers underneath them, plus whatever keeps those servers up at night. I'm a sysop at heart.
For the last 20 years I've been CTO at a couple of companies, but my screen is still mostly characters, not graphics.
