This release contains the code used for the official 2025 AADT run.

v2024.3.0 Final package version for 2024 data

This release contains the final version of the model as it was when run on 2024 data after manual corrections were made, and the model was improved based on that.

The most important changes from the official 2024 model are these:

Changes to the INLA model

  • isRamp:functionalRoadClass as a covariate
  • log(lastYearAadt) as covariate
  • "besagproper" in stead of "besag" (minor change)
  • Traffic links with only public transport are excluded from the spatial smoothing

Changes to the balancing

  • Flow nodes and more correct turning movements ensure correct flow conditions in the nodes
  • The measurement error model has a more correct measurement error representation
  • Estimation of turning ratios is removed
  • Better identification of non-balanceable nodes

Other changes

  • Bus stop counts from EnTur are included for links with only public transport

Heavy vehicle model

  • This model now has the same structure as the AADT model, and models heavy AADT directly, rather than using a beta model for the ratio directly.
